Visit La Casa de Colón and discover the history of the navigator’s voyages to America and his link with the Canary Islands.
During his first trip to America, Christopher Columbus stopped in the city to repair one of his ships. He was again in Las Palmas during his second and fourth voyages. The House of Columbus is a museum about the voyages of the navigator to America, his relationship with the islands and pre-Columbian America. And it also houses an exposition about the history of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and an important art collection.
It is located right next to the residence of the first governors of the island. It is a building of traditional Canarian architecture, built around two main patios. It is, without a doubt, one of the most unique buildings in the city.
