Las Palmas offers a varied cultural events for all tastes. It has a classical music festival, a film festival, an annual opera season and one of the island's philharmonic orchestras, a world music festival, a street theater and dance festival and other artistic exhibitions. Las Palmas is certainly the cultural center of the archipelago.
